What this application is
The Studio Sojourn FF&E Catalog is a private, internal tool used by Studio Sojourn to compile furniture, fixtures and equipment specifications for interior design projects. It is not a consumer product, it is not offered to the public, and it has no users outside Studio Sojourn.
It reads the boards and pins belonging to Studio Sojourn's own Pinterest account and uses them to look up product specifications — dimensions, materials, finishes, certifications — from manufacturers' public websites.
What data we access
With your authorisation, the application reads the following from the Pinterest account that grants access: board names, descriptions and identifiers; and the pins on those boards, meaning image URLs, titles, descriptions, notes, the link each pin points to, and the dominant colour Pinterest reports.
Access is read-only. The application cannot create, edit, delete or reorganise pins or boards, and it does not request permission to do so.
We access only the boards of the account that authorises the application. We do not access other Pinterest users' accounts, boards, pins, profiles or activity, and we do not collect data about anyone who did not authorise us.
What we store, and where
Data retrieved from Pinterest is stored in a private database operated by Studio Sojourn and hosted by Supabase, Inc. in the United States. It is accessible only to Studio Sojourn personnel who have been issued an individual login.
We also store product specification data gathered from manufacturers' and retailers' publicly accessible web pages and specification documents, together with a record of which source each value came from.
What we do not do
We do not sell, rent, licence or share this data with any third party. We do not use it for advertising, profiling or marketing. We do not run third-party analytics, advertising or tracking technologies. We do not collect personal information from members of the public. We do not process data belonging to Pinterest users other than the account holder who authorises the application.
Authentication and credentials
The application signs in to Pinterest using OAuth 2.0. We never see, request or store your Pinterest password. The access token Pinterest issues is stored on Studio Sojourn's own systems, is used solely to read the boards described above, and can be revoked by you at any time from Pinterest's settings under Security and permissions, then Apps.
Logins to the application itself use passwords stored only as salted scrypt hashes. We cannot read them.
Retention and deletion
We keep the data described above for as long as it is useful to ongoing design work. To request deletion of any or all of it, contact us at the address below and we will remove it. Revoking the application's access in Pinterest stops all further data collection immediately.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially we will update the date shown at the top of this page. Because the application is used only by Studio Sojourn personnel, we will notify affected staff directly.
